FINA Women’s Intercontinental Cup in Lewisville, TX
USA Water Polo along with Thunder Water Polo will be hosting the FINA Women’s Intercontinental Cup from Tuesday, February 16th – Sunday, February 21st. Joining Team USA will be National Teams from China, Australia, Japan, Canada, and Brazil. The event will be located at the Lewisville ISD Westside Aquatic Center in Flower Mound/Lewisville. Three games will be played on each day of the competition with each team playing one game per day. This event will have plenty of high level international competition and will be the final tune-up prior to Olympic Qualification in March. This is a wonderful opportunity for coaches, athletes, and parents to watch the highest level water polo in the world in the Southwest Zone.
Attached is a flyer with the event schedule. On Tuesday-Saturday, games will be at 4:40 pm, 6:00 pm, and 7:20 pm. On Sunday, the games will be a little earlier at 10:00 am, 11:20 am, and 12:40 pm. Admissions to the event is minimal as we look forward to the local water polo community to come out, cheer on Team USA, and show the world the North Texas is a great place to play and compete. Athletes, coaches, and parents are encouraged to come out and watch as often as possible.
